

Jake Ricker Player - Graduating Class of 1981
Jake is being inducted into the CFASA Hall of Fame for his accomplishments as a player and for his immense contributions to the Cuyahoga Falls Soccer Community over the past several decades.
Jake was member of the Black Tiger Varsity squad from 1978 to 1981, and during that time he was elected a Team Captain and was prolific scorer with a whopping 30 goals during his three varsity seasons.
He holds the distinction of being the only Black Tiger to ever earn, First Team All-County honors in 1981, and he was also awarded First Team All-League Honors in 1980 and 1981.
Jake was loved and admired by his teammates and he was respected by his coaches for his leadership on and off the field.
In speaking of Jake’s time as Black Tiger, one his teammates remarked, “During an era when playing soccer wasn’t popular or impressive and few players excelled, Jake was nothing short of exceptional.”
After Jake’s Black Tiger career concluded, his contributions to the Cuyahoga Falls Soccer community continued. Along with fellow Hall of Famer, John Andrea, Jake was instrumental in the formation of the Soccer Alumni Association.
Over the past three and half decades, Jake has helped to establish the organization’s bank accounts, he solicited donations, and has given generously of his time and resources to support Cuyahoga Falls Soccer.
His passion for the game has never wavered as he still plays today, and he continues to be positive force for Cuyahoga Falls Soccer.
Jake is lifelong resident of Cuyahoga Falls, and currently works as an Operation Support Specialist at PNC Bank.
