Steve Sebastian      Player - Graduating Class of 1987

Steve is being inducted into the CFASA Hall of Fame in recognition of his extraordinary accomplishments as a player from 1983 to 1986.
 

During that time, Steve earned the distinction of being the first ever four-year varsity letter winner and he helped lead teams to a combined record of 46 wins, 22 losses, and 9 ties during that span.


During Steve’s junior season, his team reached the regional finals with a record of 18 wins, 2, losses, and 1 tie of which Steve is credited with posting the single-season shutout record for goal keepers with 11 shutouts. 


During Steve’s extraordinary career, he received 1st and 2nd Team All-State, 1st Team District, and 1st Team All-League Honors during his playing career. Additionally, he was recognized Greater Akron Scholastic Coaches Association with 1st Team Honors after his senior season.


Steve’s high school coach, Greg Shoults remembers him as one of the most athletic keepers that he has ever coached and lauds Steve for his tremendous work ethic and his commitment to teaching the younger keepers in the program.


After Steve concluded his career as a Black Tiger student-athlete, he went on to graduate 1st in his class before continuing his playing career at Princeton University, in New Jersey.
